I will sing of your love and justice; to you, O LORD, I will sing praise. (Psalm 101:1)
Speak to one another with psalms, hymns and spiritual songs. Sing and make music in your heart to the Lord. (Ephesians 5:19)
Do you play an instrument or enjoy singing? Here at The Church at Chantilly, there are a number of ways for members to participate in music. Of course, we sing hymns during each worship service, but we also have "special music." A number of our members play instruments and sing as a special ministry of music. The worship music on Sunday mornings is a blend of contemporary and traditional selections, which are accompanied by guitars, some percussion, violin, piano, and more. At times, a group of singers will present a special selection as well.
Sharing our musical gifts in worship is a servant ministry that many of our members enjoy. We sing or play, not to bring glory and praise to ourselves as musicians, but rather to glorify the One who made us and to bless the people who gather to worship with us.
Whatever your musical gifts or inclinations may be, we encourage you to practice and use those gifts to His glory. For our members who are interested, we invite you to contact the Music Director to discuss using them to give glory to God and to inspire God’s people during worship.
